Fueling Fig & Oat Bake

Preparation

1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish (around 8x8 inches or similar size).
2
In a medium bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to mix all the dry ingredients.
3
Add the unsweetened almond milk and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Stir thoroughly until everything is well combined and the oats are fully moistened.
4
Gently fold in 3 of the fresh figs, which you've chopped into small, bite-sized pieces. Reserve the remaining 1 fig for topping.
5
Pour the oat mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Slice the remaining fresh fig and artfully arrange the slices on top of the oat mixture.
6
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bake is set. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out mostly clean.
7
Let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature. Any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
