Season the beef chunks with salt and pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat and brown the beef on all sides for about 6 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Add the onion, carrot, and celery and saute for 5 minutes.

Stir in the garlic and tomato paste and cook for 1 minute.

Add the diced potatoes, green beans, beef broth, and paprika. Bring to a boil.

Return the beef, reduce the heat, cover, and simmer gently for 40 minutes until the beef is tender.
